From Day Dreaming to Small Business

Growing up in Los Angeles as an Asian American child of first generation immigrants, I was raised by two incredible women, my mom and my grandmother, who taught me the value of resilience and hard work. I earned an engineering degree and followed that path for a while, but deep down, my heart was not in it. My true passion had always been creating with my hands, my heart, and my imagination.

As I learned more about matcha culture and its rituals, I felt a deep connection to the balance it represents, blending precision with beauty and discipline with artistry. That balance inspired me to step away from expectations and embrace my dream of becoming a potter and matcha enthusiast. Today, I combine these loves to create pottery that celebrates the mindfulness and joy of matcha culture, infused with the spirit of my journey and the lessons of the strong women who shaped me.

I am deeply grateful for the support I have received along the way. Through the ups and downs of pottery, the moments of lost patience, and the waves of self doubt, I persevered and kept moving forward. Even when some family members did not believe in me, laughed in my face, or made discouraging comments, I continued choosing what felt right in my heart.

Today, I am doing what I love, and it has been the best decision I have ever made.
